Introduction
In Feburary 2002, I was given the assignment to research Southern Folklore. I chose the Bell Witch, since I had heard of it before. I didn't really know much about it though. Thus began my delve into the bizarre events of Tennessee. I had always loved a good ghost story, and now I was learning about many in my own backyard.
I began to travel all over the area to take pictures and investigate. So far I've never come face to face with any ghosts, though I did see the Chapel Hill light. I've had lots of fun traveling. Since I live in East Tennessee and go to college in Middle Tennessee, I am able to visit a wide range of the state. Someday, if enough other people send in stories, I will add information from other states. I owe much thanks to Chris Coleman, Charles Edwin Price, Kathryn Tucker Windham, and several others. Their wonderful books were great for research. Please visit the Recomended Reading section for information. Also, thanks to everyone who's told me stories and visited my site. I appreciate you all.
