Jobe Cemetery
 Located on Main Street in Erwin, TN is Jobe Cemetery, a quaint little historic cemetery. One of the most enduring legends in Erwin deals with the hobos, who were known to hang out in the area where Jobe Cemetery now lies long ago.
It's well known that there were many hobos in the area. Some of the hobos liked to drink and play cards, which obviously are not a good mix. Many of them were beat up and even killed by other hobos. One of the most legendary was known as "Old Dawg." He was physically huge, and said to be very violent. He would kill anyone who dared beat him at cards. Though he's long dead now, his spirit is said to walk Jobe Cemetery after dark. This legend is particularly common among youth in the area. Many have claimed to have seen the spirit. Beware Jobe Cemetery after dark if you live in Erwin or are passing through. No one wants to mess with "Old Dawg."
