The Ghost Horse of Erwin
 Along the railroad tracks near the National Fish Hatchery in Erwin, TN, there is an area which is haunted by a phantom horse. The horse is said to wander around the tracks and the woods nearby after dark, and many people have claimed to have seen it. What causes this haunting is anyone's guess.
The first known sighting of the horse came in the 1920s, when Guard Banner saw it while following the rail road tracks home after getting off work. Since then, there have been a plethora of sightings. Predictably, almost all of them come during the night. What causes this phantom horse to wander around the tracks? Is it looking for someone, like a former owner? What kind of horse was it in life, and how did it die? Is it real, or just a fictional story? Your guess is as good as mine.
