White Oak Hauntings
 This house, located in the White Oak Community of Morgan County, TN is said to be haunted by a strange figure that appears mysteriously in the house and in the yard. Though it's been a long time since anyone lived there, the stories live on.
Rumors had spread in the community, mostly among children, about the ghost that inhabits the house. The last people to live there moved out of the house around 30 years ago, so there has been little to no paranormal activity reported there recently. While there were people living there, some members of the family claimed to have seen ghostly apparitions. According to a former inhabitant, the figure would appear in the middle of the night, often at the foot of a bed. Whoever was in the bed was obviously terrified. The ghost was also said to appear in field surrounding the house, often on the back of a cow. Some children reported seeing a ghostly figure riding a cow across the field! The origin of the ghost is anyone's guess. Not much is known about the history of this house. It is believed to have been built around a century ago. Perhaps the ghost is of the first owner. Or perhaps it's just a spirit who liked the house. It seems unlikely that anyone else will ever live in the house, so we may never know further details on the haunting. Since this is private property, I cannot divulge the exact location. However, if you ever see this house in Morgan County, be sure to watch the field. You might be the first person in years to see the ghost of White Oak.
